Covid 19 Statement

19 th July: What’s changed:

When travelling within the UK, you should still aim to do so safely the government would you like to apply common sense to keep yourself safe.

  • Gathering limits have been eased, you can now dine with as many friends as you like inside or outside!!
  • Masks are no longer mandatory it is optional and your own personal preference during your visit with us.

We will still be taking all the necessary steps and more to ensure that your stay or visit is as safe as possible for you and for our team, who encounter many people on any given day, therefore we ask that if you are showing any symptoms of Coivd-19 that you do not visit us but self isolate as per original government guidelines.

Our team have all undergone Covid awareness training and to give you confidence even after the 19 th July if you wish us to wear a face covering whilst around you please just ask.

Ensuring you are as safe as possible is a priority so we will still be deep cleaning, sanitising and airing every room thoroughly in between stays, and for the time being your room will remain your bubble during your stay with our amenity box system still in place unless you consent to us entering your room.

Can I call in for Morning Coffee?

Unfortunately we are no longer able to open for morning coffee, due to restrictions and extra sanitising measures our front of house will now not be manned until 3pm everyday, this gives us the chance to deep clean and sanitise all rooms without cross contamination.

We will be taking online bookings for Afternoon Tea or Cream Tea for non residents once we have an official opening date confirmed by the government please note that you need to book through our online booking system which will be live as soon as this date is confirmed.

Can I book to Stay with you?

Yes we are welcoming back hotel guests please use our online booking system or alternatively give us a ring and we will be happy to take your booking personally.

Do I require travel insurance?

We strongly recommend you take out travel insurance prior to booking to protect your holiday in the event of cancellation. If we are forced to close the business due to a COVID-19 outbreak at the hotel affected bookings will

Can I make a Dinner reservation?

We are keeping the social distancing rules even after 19 th July so we will still be operating with a reduced number of tables in our restaurant so availability may be limited. We will however be able to accept bookings for tables larger than the rule of 6 after the 19 th July. If you want a table of over 10 please ring us to confirm details before you make an online booking.

Masks, Sanitising and Social Distancing

We are all very used to this regime now and these practices will remain in place at our establishment even after 19 th July when rules are abandoned. We will still create your hotel room as your own bubble during your stay, no one will enter your room other than yourselves, unless we have full consent, the room will have been deep cleaned and sanitised prior to your arrival, we will have a sealed utilities box outside your room so we can replenish and replace items for you during your stay, this is the best practice to protect you from any cross infection in any situation.

You can choose to wear a mask or not the option is yours but for nervous guests, those who have been shielding or guests who just wish for some space, please be kind and avoid crowding or commenting on guests wearing masks, everyone’s ‘ idea of safety maybe be different and we need to be allowed to accommodate that.
